Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPPv 5-Way Vaccine
Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPPv, which was previously called Galaxy DA2PPv, is a 5-way vaccine. It contains a live modified virus and safeguards your pet from diseases caused by parainfluenza, adenovirus type 1 (hepatitis), adenovirus type 2 (respiratory disease), canine distemper and parvovirus. This vaccine also offers protection against parvo.

How Often is DAPPv Given to Dogs?
Recommended for healthy dogs who are 6 weeks of age or older, Nobivac® 1-DAPPv shot provides one-year protection against these diseases. After the first dose, dogs will need the vaccination at two- to four-week intervals until they are 12 weeks old.
What is in the 1-DAPPv Vaccine For Dogs?
Because the Nobivac® DAPPv vaccine contains gentamicin, which is used as a preservative, it should not be given to dogs who are unhealthy, have parasites or are pregnant. Any biological product, like the Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPPv vaccination, could potentially lead to effects ranging from anaphylaxis to inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity.
When using this broad protection vaccine, there are a few special precautions you need to keep in mind. Always use new, non-chemically sterilized syringes and needles, which you can buy separately. Also, never mix the DAPPv vaccine for dogs with any other vaccines. Once you have administered the injection, be sure to burn all unused contents.
- Transfer contents of the sterile diluent vial to the Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPPv vial aseptically. Mix gently until dissolved. Use entire contents immediately after rehydration.
- Vaccinate with 1 ml subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
- The initial dose may be given at 6 weeks of age or older.
- Repeat at 2 to 4 week intervals until the dog is 12 weeks of age.
- A minimum of two doses is required for primary immunization.
- Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended.

- The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-medicated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.
